Cloud Advantages for SMBs

What are the advantages of the cloud for SMBs versus on-premises IT hardware and software? To find out, we recently surveyed 500 U.S. and 100 U.K. SMB principals.

Most U.S. very small businesses (VSBs, with fewer than 20 employees), agree that compared to on-prem, remote access is easier with cloud solutions, cloud functionality is better, employee collaboration is improved, and maintenance is easier.  U.S. small businesses (SBs, with 20 to 99 employees) are most, and equally, likely to agree that cloud functionality is better than on-prem, maintenance is easier, and response time is better.  U.S. midsized businesses (MBs, with 100 to 500 employees) are most likely to agree that availability is higher in the cloud, remote access and maintenance is easier, online support is better, and internal IT staff workload is reduced.U.K. SMBs are most likely to agree that cloud implementation is faster than on-prem, maintenance is easier, and availability is higher.
