What SMBs Will Buy and Do in 2024

What is at the top of SMB shopping and to-do lists for the rest of the year? To find out, we recently surveyed 500 U.S. SMB principals.

Very small businesses (VSBs, with fewer than 20 employees) are most likely to get something printed, such as business cards, flyers, or mailers. They are next most likely to buy office supplies or furnishings, followed by shipping a package overnight. Small businesses (SBs, with 20 to 99 employees) are most likely to ship a package overnight, followed by getting something printed. They are next most likely to stay in a hotel on a business trip. Midsized businesses (MBs, with 100 to 500 employees) are most likely to buy office supplies or furnishings, followed by shipping a package overnight. After that, they are most likely to hire staff, a strong indication of their business optimism.
